Guaranteed scholarships in California are available from several schools. A guaranteed scholarship for college is awarded to students when they meet the eligibility requirements for that scholarship, without having to go through a lengthy interview process and without having to write any essays thus making them quick easy scholarships to apply for and receive. You should always ask about guaranteed college scholarships when applying to colleges, as most colleges do have guaranteed scholarships for children of past students, siblings of current students, students who have certain GPAs or test scores, and students who have already won certain awards, such as the National Merit Award.

It’s a type of Tuition Rewards program in that students are given student discounts on their tuition based upon the value of identified savings or investments designated in their name. Sage Reward Points can be thought of as frequent flyer miles used for college tuition only which a student earns by investments with a SAGE Financial Partner. The student normally will receive 5% of what his/her family saved through investments with the SAGE Partner. This 5% is a guaranteed discount off the student’s tuition bill. More and more colleges are signing up with SAGE so as to attract more students to their campuses because of this guaranteed scholarship program. The colleges presently participating in these guaranteed scholarships in California (also inquire to the college you want to attend because this list is growing yearly) are:
Alliant International University
Concordia University
Westmont College
California College of the Arts
University of La Verne
Whittier College
Even if you are not attending one of these California schools, make sure that you talk to your financial aid officer at the school where you will be attending to inquire about guaranteed scholarships. If you are coming from high school, be sure to ask your high school guidance counselor about guaranteed college scholarship opportunities as well. The cost of a higher education is not cheap, and the more financial aid that you can get – especially in the form of easy scholarships that don’t have to be repaid – the better off you will be. Remember that you do not have to compete for guaranteed scholarships. You simply have to meet the eligibility requirements to be awarded this scholarship that is guaranteed, so do what you can to be eligible for as many of these scholarships as possible.
